Requirement Engineer

Zurich, Switzerland

About the Job

Join Sysmind GmbH, a premier SECO-licensed IT Consulting and Project Execution firm. While we are renowned for connecting elite talent with Switzerland’s leading enterprises, we go beyond sourcing; we partner with our clients to drive digital transformation and execute complex technical roadmaps. As a Requirement Engineer here, you aren't just filling a seat—you are joining a strategic consultancy that delivers end-to-end expertise across a highly diversified industrial landscape, including Finance, Pharma, Public Sector, Manufacturing, and Energy.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Consulting: Act as a high-level advisor to clients, translating vague business visions into structured, executable IT project roadmaps.

  • Project Execution Leadership: Lead the requirements lifecycle from discovery through to final delivery, ensuring that technical outputs meet high-stakes business goals.

  • Cross-Functional Bridge: Serve as the critical link between C-suite stakeholders and development teams, ensuring "Swiss precision" in every phase of the project.

  • Operational Excellence: Partner with Project Managers to align requirements with resource allocation, managing project financials and performing scope trade-offs to ensure project viability.

Technical Discovery & Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify technical constraints and dependencies, "speaking the language" of developers to navigate potential roadblocks before they impact the timeline.

Requirements
  • Consultancy Background: 5+ years of experience in IT requirement engineering or business analysis, preferably within a consulting or project-based environment.

  • Methodological Mastery: Expert-level command of Agile (User Stories, Backlog Refinement) and traditional techniques (Use Cases, Process Mapping).

  • Ecosystem Expertise: Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and advanced modeling tools (e.g., UML, BPMN, or Visio) to document complex business logic.

  • Soft Skills & EQ: High emotional intelligence to manage stakeholder "pain points," resolve conflicts between competing priorities, and build lasting trust with end-users.

  • Communication: Professional fluency in English is mandatory; a strong command of German or French is a significant advantage for navigating the Swiss market.

Adaptability: Proven ability to thrive in multicultural environments and pivot between diverse industry requirements.

We Offer
  • Diverse Project Portfolio: Exposure to a wide range of industries beyond the standard sectors, including Logistics, MedTech, and the Public Sector.

  • Consulting-First Culture: An environment that values intellectual curiosity, professional growth, and the autonomy to influence project outcomes.

  • Comprehensive Relocation Support: Expert guidance on Swiss work permit applications (EU/EFTA & Non-EU) for international talent.

A Partnership for Growth: We don't just place you on a project; we foster your long-term evolution as a consultant within the Swiss IT ecosystem.
